Organisation
The FSVO promotes the health and wellbeing of humans and animals. The organisation combines strategic leadership, oversight to ensure food safety throughout the food chain and reference diagnostics from the Institute of Virology and Immunology.
Executive Board
The seven members of the FSVO Executive Board meet on a weekly basis to discuss strategic, political and management-related matters.
Federal Food Chain Unit (FFCU)
The FFCU ensures coordinated controls along the food chain and helps guarantee food safety in Switzerland.
