e-CITES
e-CITES is the FSVO’s central online application for companies that regularly export or import CITES-listed goods. It allows the electronic registration and timely submission of “Passierscheine” and applications for CITES certificates.
Online applications for CITES certificates and “Passierscheine”
e-CITES is an online application for companies that regularly export and import certain classes of goods – such as reptile leather goods. They can use the application to register “Passierscheine” and submit applications for CITES certificates electronically.
The CITES certificates are either printed out by the FSVO or – for an additional charge – by one of the nine accredited chambers of commerce in Switzerland.
Companies that meet the requirements for e-CITES are contacted by the FSVO. After completing training, employees are granted access to the application and can use it in full.
