Meeting in Dublin 2017

The network meeting took place from 9-10 May 2017 in Dublin hosted by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

More than 30 participants, of which seventeen country representatives as well as the WHO Headquaters, WHO/Europe, the European Commission and external speakers, attended the meeting.

During the first session, five countries gave an update about their salt reduction strategies.
Session 2 focused on methods available to estimate salt intake in a population via dietary assessment methods.
The first day of the meeting ended with a third session on the topic of exploring impact: which impacts can we measure with a salt reduction strategy?
Finally, the last session was a workshop where participants could share ideas in a world café setting on three different topics: regulation of salt reduction, intermediate goals for salt intake goals and monitoring.
